Confidence, we all seem to want more of it! It is perhaps the most common topic that I get asked about. Hence why I thought I’ll write to you to tell you one or two things about it. I like to keep this very simple. I believe that confidence relates to how you feel about yourself. It is what you believe on the inside about yourself. When you have confidence you really and truly like yourself. When you like yourself, you are kind to yourself and you treat yourself as you would treat your child, sister, or your best friend. When you like yourself, you approach life with a quiet self-esteem which makes others like you.

Day in and day out I hear people say “I have no confidence” and what that most often than not means is “I don’t feel worthy enough, I don’t feel enough , I don’t like myself enough.” The truth is we were all born with incredible confidence. Babies have incredible confidence; they love attention and when they don’t get it they get upset. Babies beliefs are: I’m here, I’m gorgeous and I deserve attending. Unfortunately life experiences diminish this innate confidence. With hypnosis you can go back to a time when this innate confidence started to diminish. Once you access this information you can relate to it differently. Hypnosis shows you the journey of how you lost this confidence and by engaging your subconscious mind you can reprogram your mind to regain that confidence which has always been there in you.

See, liking yourself or loving yourself is about accepting who you are, knowing you are not perfect (to anyone or anything), being okay with making mistakes. How many times have we listen to a flight attendant tell us in case of an emergency put your mask on first, before assisting anyone else. it makes perfect sense. How can you ever help someone else if you can’t breathe yourself? How can you show love, without putting the love on and over yourself first? Self-love doesn’t need anyone’s approval.

The message I want to leave you with is that confidence is not about how you look, how you speak or how smart you are. Today, I am inviting you to approach confidence with a new dimension and with a new meaning; think of it as the act of liking and loving yourself!

Practicing Self-love

  1. Every day remind yourself that You are enough! Write it down in a post it and stick it to your desk, mirrors, or your phone.
  2. Praise yourself, speak to yourself as you would to the person you loved the most.
  3. Practice gratitude- Write down everyday 3 things that you are grateful for.
  4. Look after yourself – Go out for a walk or exercise.
  5. Do more of what you love; for some that is reading, painting, gardening, scuba diving, dancing or going out with your friends.
  6. Don’t let in criticism
  7. Acknowledge your imperfections.
  8. Laugh more!
  9. Take full ownership and accountability for you.
  10. Give back to your family and community.
